Just to add one thing: How long do you wait? Until you start seeing reviews getting posted that were submitted after yours was. All the reader reviews are timestamped by submission date *and* post date. Unless the review is from me -- sometimes I advance my own through the ranks more quickly, although not usually -- then you can tell that way whether the review didn't make the cut or is still lingering in our holding area.

Basically I haven't had any time to process reader reviews lately, so there's a big backlog.
