You didn't rub the wrong way. Our July 4th anniversary was the inspiration behind that particular portion of HTBR; a running joke with me long before writing that was to say, whenever someone found out when our anniversary was, that I did it that way on purpose so I'd never forget it and get in trouble. In reality, of course, it was purely a chance happening. We were somewhat late reserving the place we wanted to get married at, and July 4th was the only Saturday in July they had left. I didn't like it at first, but after talking about it we decided it would be pretty cool to have our anniversary on that date, so we went with it.
