At first, I thought you meant they had been they had been set afloat in the late 1800's. I was thinking, "Wow, they made rubber duckies way back then? And all this time and the salt water and sun haven't degraded them?" I guess I should get used to living in a different century than the one I am used to.

PSS: I will read this in the morning and cringe with embarrassment that I would ever post such nonsense. However, I shall not delete it now, for at the moment it makes perfect sense.
