I found a snakeskin in the yard yesterday. That isn't too unusual but this one measured five feet long. Usually they are less than three feet. Now I wonder where the big fellow went after shedding. He could be in the garden. Maybe he is in the shed or the garage or the basement. We have found them in all of those places in the past. But they were small snakes. I found a pencil-sized copperhead in the garage once. All of the others have been harmless. Maybe the big one went down into the woods. I hope so.
