No real big deal in Charlotte. The clouds cleared out just after 8:00am. It's breezy in town, still windy out at my house. A couple thousand people lost power, many due to yahoos hitting power poles while joyriding in the storm (see last night's post about natural disasters having a place in the scheme of things). We lost power just after 3:00 this morning. It was back on just after 8:00.

The coast got hammered big time. And is still getting it. Our friends near Wilmington said they got 110mph winds and well over a foot of rain.

Time to pack up the truck and head to the coast!
