Hey, I just got back from a week in Florida, too! It's 4:03 in the morning, and I just was checking the forum, so I figured I'd post before I turned in.. . .

The weather was a lot different than in Utah. Just as hot, but a lot more humid.

We flew out last Saturday, spent Sunday relaxing. Monday we went to a new park (3 years old new) called Discovery cove. It's just down the street from Seaworld. They only allow 1,000 people in a day, so it isn't very crowded. They set you up with snorkeling gear and let you loose! They had a coral reef area with loads of fish, a ray pool where you can feed the rays (kinda like at seaworld, but this time you are in the water with them JUMPING all over you), a pretty fun aviary, a winding little river that you can snorkel down, and DOLPHIN pools!! If you get the package that includes the dolphin encounter you get to go swim with the dolphins!! For a girl that has spent all her life in the desert, touching, swimming, and splashing around with the dolphins was the coolest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Needless to say I spent a gamillion dollars on pictures, and the video.

I haven't been to any Disney theme park since I was four, so I was expecting a lot more than I got. I thought that the Wild Animal park was okay, it was super hot that day, and the crowds were pretty bad. I really loved Epcot, although Futureland (or whatever it was) was pretty lame. Nationworld (I can't remember the name at this time) was very cool, and the Chinese acrobats were very cool. The Magic Kingdom was VERY disappointing. Maybe if I was 3-6 it would have been great. . .but I'm not. The lines for the rides were very long, and we figured we'd get more of a thrill going to the local amusement park. The only ride we went on was the Buzz Lightyear ride, which is a ride that's set up like an arcade game. It was so fun, we went on it twice. One highlight was seeing Stitch, my favorite disney movie character. I carried around my Stitch doll all day, and got his belly signed. I felt like a total kid, but it was very fun. MGM Grand was the next day, and it just so happened to be Star Wars Weekend!! We took pics with Luke and Leia, Mr. Ewok, Chewbacca, and Emporer Palpatine. Very very cool. The Indiana Jones show was fabulous. We did Seaworld today, and I must say I was very impressed with their killer whale show.

Well, I really ought to be heading to bed! Sorry for the terse travelogue, I tend to get rambly, use bad grammar, spelling and puncuation when I've been up for nearly 24 hours. Thanks for reading!
