In the Zion is a construct argument, it's a waste of valuable system resources to program the assault on Zion. These finite resources would better be used to create and test the beta version of Matrix v7.0. Zion's going to be destroyed anyway, why not leave it alone? If Zion is a construct, it is not logical to launch an attack on Zion in the construct.
[Unless it was to force The One to seek out the Architect. In this case, once The One had done so, there is no need to continue the assault on Zion. This part of the construct programming could be deleted and the system resources could be allocated to building and testing Matrix v7.0. ]
