POA stuck on sandstone caverns

Here I am again...stuck!

I can't quite work out how to get into the sandstone caverns. I know I am supposed to get there to get Verna's passcard and stuff.

Also, I can't get into Kepler's office to use the dragon key. Is there anywhere else I can use it? And where can I get a tranquilizer gun?
