First, please post your inventory, then it's easier to help you.
Secondly, have you get the coins from the tavern yet? If not, go there and be helpful.
For the picture... you know where it is in the castle right? but you can't take it because the maids are there. Suppose that there was a mess in the kitchen and the maids have to clean it... but as you can't get to the kitchen through door, try another way... (ever heard about French windows- they can be used as a door)
