Well, the verdict is in. I finished the book this
morning. I found it weird. That is not unusual
for PKD. A lot of his stories are weird. Most,
actually.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of those
stories of his that left me with a "meh" feeling.
Kind of indifferent, if you know what I mean.
"What was that for?" I think it's probably just
because I have seen and loved the movie
based on it for years, and was comparing the
two subconsciously the entire time I was
reading. I enjoyed the movie a lot more than I
did the book.

If you haven't seen "Blade Runner" yet, then
you might enjoy the book more than I did. Even
if you have, you might. I personally would
recommend you start with some of PKD's
short fiction, though, as a better introduction to
his work. That way you won't invest as much
time in it if it turns out you don't care for him.
