Just make sure you're taking the shortest route possible. You're going the right WAY, hitting the troll bridge from the south, but if you make one unnecessary move, you will lose them. Don't forget, you can use the platforms to cut your trip a few moves short. Map it out if you go nuts; you can always start the chase again. I made a map as I played the game, and it was invaluable when figuring this one out.
