FQ 2 Drake Problem

I can't seem to defeat the Drake, nor can I
escape him to try to get other things I need.
I've read in other posts that I need, among
other things, the sword, which I do not have,
nor do I know where it is. This is my inventory:

1 Gold Coin
/ Silver Key
/ Bucket
/ Blue Rubber Ball
6 Onions
/ Crown of Destiny
/ Cross
/ Pliers
/ Sack
/ Float Ring
/ Roc Feather
/ Iron Support
/ Small Silver Coin
/ Sap Tap
/ Coconut
Carrot

What can I do to either defeat the drake or
escape from it? any advice would be greatly
appreciated.
