But let me tell you I had a great time in the 49th state! Not only is it beautiful, but I had three generations of my family on board with me, I finally got enough to eat, and even though I was flying standby/space available, the flights all went clickity. No room for improvement anywhere. Glacier Bay is still one of the most spectacular places I've ever been. And Skagway is still my kind of town.

Now I know why people work all their lives looking forward to retirement.

Dang, it didn't work -- I just looked in the mirror, and didn't notice a complexion any "greener" from jealously :-) Seriously though, I am happy you enjoyed your trip, and happy you and your family got back in such fine fettle. Mmm, cruise ships with 5-course meals. Did you manage to fight off the promised 4 kg (8.8 lbs!) gain per week? From the stories I've heard, I know I probably wouldn't be able to.

Glaciers and ice waterfalls, chandeliers... Must have given you flashbacks like you were on "Titanic"...
