Well done on keeping a clear head and tending to the victim. Takes a certain mindset not to fall apart under a situation like that and you obviously have it.

I've done similar myself. I remember coming around a sharp corner once to find a guy waving at the side of the road. The car he was in had spun off and ended up on its side in a ditch. There were four people left in it and I had to help them out. Fortunately, there were no injuries and the most any of them were suffering from was shock.

It was just typical it was also the first night I'd ever gone out without my mobile phone. It was on charge and I didn't think I'd need it as I was not going far. Luckily some-one else stopped to help and then went off to call the emergency services.

The folks I rescued were just unlucky to have an inexperienced driver who got caught out on a sharp bend. If your victim was drunk-driving I hope they throw the book at him. If he was just a passenger, then good luck to him.
