He isn't? Last I checked, one of God's many key qualities was that He is omnipresent. Just because God isn't in the laundry room like Mom is doesn't mean He isn't here.

And, of course, many feel it's perfectly possible. What you seem to be arguing against is using God as an excuse to do whatever one wants. And I would take your side on that. But living for God's will is entirely different from that. There are things that I would *much* rather do than teach high school students, but it's clearly not God's will that I do them.
