The really scary part is: I remember when The Gap first opened. The jeans were popular for awhile, but then we all just went back to Levi's. And I remember when Levi's were not pre-washed. You had to buy them way too big and put them on in a bathtub full of water so when they shrank (shrinked? shrunk?), they fit your particular body. They tried to bring the "stiffies" back out a year or so ago; don't think it worked (thank heavens).
