Now that I've seen the trailer for this movie, I want to see the original. I might have wanted to see the remake, but because I saw the trailer for it, I think I've seen the entire movie: the heist, thing that went wrong, and what looks like nearly every action done to fix what went wrong appears to be in the three minute trailer. (Heck, it almost felt like I was watching a trailer for a movie where Meg Ryan falls in love with Tom Hanks, except with explosions and car chases.)
I think it's interesting with the huge Mini Cooper boom here in the states that they've not only remade a movie that featured Minis rushing around in car chases, they're able to remake the movie and still feature the quirky little cars. (Certain movies are associated with cars. The Italian Job (1972) is the Mini Cooper movie.)
