Don't feel like you have a responsibility to be in Chat frequently. It seems to me that if people talk simply to be talking, and to prevent the community from declining, ("The Decline and Fall of RinkWorks"? Heh.) Chat and the Forum will simply be filled with babble. Personally, I don't think that the community's hit a lull, but that people chatting to "save RinkWorks" is going to send it into one. A room full of people talking about things they aren't really interested in isn't a conversation. It's just talking.

Then again, if people think Chat's slow, then maybe it's slow. That doesn't mean it won't pick up by itself eventually. And, like BG said, this discussion got our attention. Heh.
