I was going to post a long response- until Selah came along and said it all for me, better than I could. I came along about the same time that she did, and I feel the same way she does about Chat and Forum, except for a couple of little things.

I do have a social life outside of RinkWorks. I have managed to find the three intelligent, nice people in Wyoming, and I spend at least 20 hours with them each week. Then I come home and lose sleep to read the forum and mess around on RinkWorks way too early in the morning. Up to now, the Forum and Chat have been worth it.

When I first came here, I was amazed that a place like RinkWorks existed. To someone who's grown up amidst ignorant louts, spending time in a chatroom with people who know English and make funny jokes is close to paradise. I don't want to lose that experience.

I feel like posting on the Forum is a challenge. If my post starts an interesting conversation, I pass. If it doesn't, I fail. Either way I try again. I haven't tried recently because I've been busy. A warning: video games are bad for you.

I have been missing some people recently in Chat, but I'm sure it's just because they're wise and asleep.
