I'm sure you all remember this thread... it's been alluded to several times.

OK, there hasn't been anything in the recent page that wasn't on the front page for a few days now, and, personally, I have a problem with it. It's so nice to finish off the first page, so uniform with one color, the occasional differnt color where I was the author, but scrolling down and knowing I've read all of the posts-- even the ones that don't interest me [I can't help it-- if it's there, I simply must read it]. Then, I go to the recent page and, wow, there are whole new posts awaiting my comment. It's so nice, and a good way to wrap up my forum experience for the day [hour].

Well, I decided I needed to take it upon myself and reply to an old post, so here goes.
