Bear in mind that this is the same France that currently has troops in Sierra Leone without UN backing; that provides military support to Indonesia to help them massacre the East Timorese;that fêtes Robert Mugabe (Head of Zimbabwe's ruling Zanu-PF party), allowing him to evade a ban on him entering the EU, and refusing to turn him over to the Hauge to answer charges of torture, kidnap and murder; that threw a hissy-fit when prospective EU-members decided to back America; that has oil deals with Hussain that probably won't be honoured by a new government... The list goes on.

Somehow I don't like the idea of them being held up as be so much more moral than Britain and America.
