Good thing to use as current events tomorrow in history class. On a sort of related subject, I just learned yesterday that New Zealand was one of the first countries who had workers compensation. New Zealand was also the first country to extend the vote to women (1891), and had one of the first modern social welfare systems. I didn't know about the workers' compensation thing, they didn't mention that when I was at school. Or if they did, I wasn't listening. That's interesting.
