Interesting... both the articles you and koalamom linked to say that there's a difference between emotional tears and onion-tears in the hormones which are released. It would seem, then, that I *shouldn't* feel the same kind of calm after chopping an onion (my eyes are very onion-sensitive, by the way). But I do. I wonder why.
The stress-hormone stuff is neat though. I didn't know that. Funny how, when I'm looking for the answer to one question, the answers to two or three others pop up along the way.
