No. The connotation of the word is GUM. The sticky object in my MOUTH. Not the trace nutrients that possibly reside within it.

Look at it this way. If someone refused to, say, kiss you because you "had food in your mouth" when in fact what you had was GUM in your mouth, would you think this person was thinking of the trace nutrients and sugars present in the gum OR THE GLOB OF STICKY GOO YOU WERE MASHING BETWEEN YOUR TEETH?

That's the real question.
