MR - Level 6

My computer ate my first post. I have found the tunnel from level 5 to level 6. But when i levae the little room, I am really close to the elevator, and it moves me SW (not just west out of the doorway) onto the stupid sign post. Is there another tunnel, or some item that I need? I am really stuck, so all help will be appreciated.
