I was thinking in terms of somewhere west of Paterson, NJ or maybe in Orange County, NY. I guess that's more than a "few miles." If the center of world trade was built out of the city a lot of people could live in a less urban area, if they wanted to. With rapid transit that would soon become available, they could live where they wanted to. I picture NYC as being a wider area with slightly less population density about 20 years from now. That's about all you can do in a city that is that badly overbuilt. In my lifetime, I've seen cities expand past their suburbs and into the country. But I'm more familiar with Atlanta and LA, than New York. Howard
