I got a respiratory infection early last week. After not sleeping two straight nights, i finally succumbed to the advice of the ladies who work in our church office and went to the doctor. He prescribed medicine, and it is working. An amazing concept.

What kept me from going to the doctor, even when i need my voice for my job and i've got a good insurance plan with Blue Cross/Blue Shield? It's not that i haven't read the Book of Job--i realize bad things happen to good people, and to normal people, and to those of us who get sick by not taking easy precautions. I didn't go to the doctor because i've been so used to the hassle involved in getting my old insurance company to pay out on pretty much anything.

Now i've got a great insurance plan. But i've got to work to remember that when it's needed.
