When I was a kid in Eastern Kentucky, I knew a girl from Pine Knot named Shirley Knott. Her brother was Oscar Yates Knott, usually known as O.Y. Knott. Shirley was really cool, but O.Y. was a square Knott. Their mother was from South America and her first name was Belivador. Their father was named Howard, which is funny condidering that in that area, Howard is pronounced "Hard." They lived in the poorer section of Pine Knot and their house had no bathroom. So Mr. Knott, who once served as a ship's carpenter on a merchant ship, built a bathroom on the back of the house and insisted on calling it the Knott head. You know I would knot lie to you about something like this.
