I still remember having to give up our collie when I was about 9, I missed her, but collie's aren't the smartest dogs in the world so it was no big deal to me really, not like when our german shepherds died...

And then when I was 10 we had to give up both of our cats, I missed them a lot for a while, but I'm not much of a cat person. (Giving up the dog and the cats were both because of our moving)

Now though, we have a mutt at home who is mostly austrailian shepherd, and though I do not live at home anymore, she is one of the smartest and sweetest dogs ever and I would hate if my family had to get rid of her even though I see her like once every month or less.
