Interesting. I would think most geeks to be *bad* at politics, simply because being good at politics requires a high degree of skill at manipulating, errr, influencing people. At least politics on a smaller level consists largely of this (think politics within an office). Larger politics (elected positions) generally require a high level of charisma in addition.

Now, many geeks may know a lot about politics, but that may be suspect too. I'd simply say that a lot of them have rather strong political views.
