Strange gifts

The holiday season is coming to a close, and I'm looking back over all the stuff I got for Christmas. I got some...unexpected...presents, which inevitably leads me to thinking about all the weird stuff we've gotten and given in the past (more given than gotten, thankfully). For instance, for years my dad would send each of my three cousins an old coin (Roman Empire or such). And every year, he'd wrap it in some strange manner. Like the year he put one coin in a jar of peanut butter and labeled it "Elephant Cud". He did the same thing to a jar of pickle relish, labeling it "Lizard Rind". He did stuff like this for about 12 years.
This year, my mom was the recipient of a strange item my dad and I made: an elf outhouse. Mom collects these little felt elf figure from the 50's, and, well, we thought they could probably really use an outhouse by now...
Anyway, I thought you all might find it sort of...interesting...to see, so here 'tis.
