I polled the family and got answers like "none" "a trace" "couple of inches" and "Way,way too much and still snowing." When I poll my family, I get a good cross section of the whole country. In these parts we got about a millimeter. The sun came out for about 30 seconds and melted it, but before it could evaporate it turned to ice. I don't think that qualifies as a white Christmas.

Bah. No snow whatsoever, but quite a bit of rain. The field behind our house is completely sodden, as is the bottom of our garden, and it's been pretty mild, too. Sometimes the weather has no sense of narrative tradition.
