I had a great Christmas, how about you? posted by Brunnen-G on Tuesday, December 24, 2002, at 20:10:07:
Christmas Eve was spent mostly at home. TNN aired "Goldfinger" around 2:00, and I watched it.
My mother's birthday falls on Christmas Eve, and we all got her birthday presents. Mine was an address book with an American flag design on it. Then, we sat down to an hors d'oeuvres dinner with sausage, cheese, olives, crackers and Cheese Whiz, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas songs playing in the background. At 7:00, we went to a Christmas Eve church service, and then we drove around looking at Christmas light displays while making fun of bad Christmas songs on the radio. We went home and had Mom's birthday cake.
We woke around 7 am Christmas Day and opened presents. Highlights of my harvest included a Swiss army knife, a set of colored pencils, and the complete Lord of the Rings. Mom baked cinnamon rolls and laid them out in the shape of a Christmas tree. Then we went to my grandparents' house out in the country and had Christmas dinner. My grandparents gave me a Wal-Mart gift card and a new set of blank floppy disks.
