Maybe that explains why Redneck sounds so natural to me and is my favorite Dialectizer dialect.

But the character, L'il Abner, doesn't strike me as a typical redneck. He was basically a simple, happy, honest, straight-forward person. A redneck has some of those charteristics, but is usually full of beer and has an ego problem. There was no prejudice in the L'il Abner character, but that is woven into the fabric of redneckism.
