Actually it was quite selfish of me to just pose the question on it's own - the whole thing was basically me trying to see if anyone else had the same reaction to the question as I did.
I thought that if I put the reasoning in with it, then it would skew people's responses.
I ended up posting the point a short time later because it did seem a little bit pointless just to put up the request "Name a Christmas movie", and I was afraid that it would look like I was posting a frivolous question just for the sake of it and that it would be deleted before I could come back and have a look again.
So you have my apologies for generating a somewhat incomplete set of forum posts.
