I can one-up you by saying that I *am* getting a free, one-week vacation to the city of my choice this Christmas break. That city would be one that is quickly becoming one of the most fascinating to me, Washington D.C. Not only because of the proximity of friends/cool people, but because there's just *so* much cool stuff there. Enough to keep history/political junkies like me perfectly content. I don't think I could ever get bored living in D.C. (And if they ever got around to having their own baseball team, instead of that jerk in Baltimore blocking them every time they try to get their own team, I *know* I would never get bored. Heck, I'd even get to go see the Cowboys play the Redskins once a year! :-D)
I happen to love good ol' Picksburgh (that would be how the local yinzers pronounce Pittsburgh. And a yinzer is one who happens to have a particularly strong usage of the Pittsburgh dialect/accent. "Yinz" is a local word that means the same thing as "y'all"), but if I had to live somewhere else, I very well may pick D.C. And heck, if I get my dream job someday, I *will* be living around D.C.
