If the game currently gives you the option to take the picture (but you get caught anyway), I'll start you off. You have to cause a disturbance in the kitchens, but you have to enter from another route - notice there's an open window on one side of the castle? You can't climb up to it from the moat, but if you search the castle bottom to TOP, you will find a way to access said window.
Sounds complicated? Well, yeah, this is probably the most complicated maneuver you pull off in the whole game - next to defeating that PITA Pheicryn (you'll meet her later on).
If you DON'T have the option to take the picture, go get some backstory so you know why you need it.
