Oh yes. I'm taking a Koine Greek class, wherein we are taught to despise participles. Each of these has all the conjugations of verbs and all the declensions of adjectives rolled up into a compact, hateful little bundle. "Wait, is this a second aorist passive participle dative singular feminine of the first declension or a middle imperfect participle nominative/accusative plural neuter of the third declension corresponding to a singular subject?"

Thrice Hurrah for Lojban, which is good to study in my spare time as a relief from Greek. The equivalent of participles are formed with the prefix "be" and terminated with "be'o" if necessary. There are no exception to this rule, and virtually no exceptions to any of the other rules.
