You don't need an object to heal the indian. Someone else will do the healing, if you get them together...

Should become (more) clear later. You need to trade something for it.

Remember where the cat was? Have you tried looking past there?

That comes quite a bit later in the game.

You need to get some more stuff before you can do anything with him.

It won't be hard to find, when you get to the right place. You haven't been there yet. Follow the above hints.

The dog, ladder, bucket, mirror, etc. come before this part. You've got a little ways to go.

One thing: Remember where you find each gold coin! WRITE IT DOWN! A lot of people get near the end of the game and discover that they're missing a coin, and want to know where it is. But we can't really help them unless we know where they've found coins before, because there are so many.
