I don't remember *exactly* where it is, but I remember it being beside a large boulder. If that doesn't work, then I am at least positive that it's not in the house, the maze, or the village.

And by the way, try to make it a policy whenever you're asking for help to post your inventory along with it. This time was fine because the spade is in the same place no matter what you have, but try to rmember next time to post your inventory. That helps us to help you a lot.
