What makes you think so? Our previous war against Iraq in 1991 was not directed at the population at all; in fact, that war was conducted in a manner that was quite successful at keeping civilian involvement to a bare minimum. I don't believe there is any reason that a war against Iraq today could not be conducted in the same manner.

Not that I'm necessarily endorsing a war with Iraq at this point. I'm still undecided on that.
