Ok i gave the soothsayer all 10 coins and got the rusty key but the stupid gate wont open, please help

Rusty Key

Float Ring
Cross
Red Potion

Small Silver Coin
Sap Tap
Coconut
Green Potion
Silver Key
Bucket of Sap
Pliers
Sword

am i missing something still or just being retarded and not seeing what im supposed to do
