That darn cat is not to be killed by you. It needs to be killed by soemthing much much bigger then you. You just need to wati around or it to come and save you.

Also i have no idea about a sourcer.

The sorcerer is in the very very very back of the Enchanted Forest. You need to go through everything there to get to him.
