That key is for getting into the beetle room off the main refinery area, so you have to get it. The only item you don't need to get (besides items related to the branching path with the cat) is the Noise Filter Headset.

The story will take place on an entirely different planet (for which I don't yet have a name -- can you believe that?), but will be closely related to the strange, unexplained events at the beginning of OAT (ToA, for those not in the acronym mangling business). It's a prequel to OAT in more ways than one, since a large part of SOAT was written, and most of the important storyline was designed, before OAT.

All of the characters you mentioned will be involved to some degree, but the starring character will be a new one.

Come up with a name for the world in which SOAT takes place. The game's setting, for the most part, will be "fantasy" -- similar to that of Game of the Ages, and that's probably all that's relevant.

Post your suggestion(s) in a reply to this message (DELETE the unnecessary text, please) or by email, and I'll pick the one I like the most for the game. The winner will be credited in the game somewhere.

Deadline: probably at least six months from now.
