i had big problems figuring out this part of the game. it helps if you post your inventory as well so people can figure out where you have and haven't been.
you need to use the inanimate object you got from the tower to get another inanimate object. this should follow the pattern of what you have done with similar inanimate objects that you have already received.
you will then be able to explore a new part of the map. if you are unable to get where you need to go you may have some unfinished business with the lion.
