If I'm not, which is obviously the case, why not say "Kaz" instead of "my boyfriend"? I mean, everyone here knows Kaz. "My boyfriend" sounds more like something you would say if he was some random guy that no one here knew. Now, I'm not saying you're a horrible person (Note: Of course, I'm not saying you aren't), I'm just wondering about your word choice there.
I'm guessing for the sake of continuality in her sentence. She mentioned "[her] parents" first -- she didn't mention the *names* of her parents, but merely her relationship status to those two people. Therefore, for the sake of continuality, she also didn't mention me by name and instead mentioned only her relationship status with me. That's what I'm guessing, at any rate. I suppose that I could be completely off here (hey, even *I* don't know what she's thinking all the time!), but I'm guessing that's what she was doing. Though for her it was probably a subconscious thing, trying to be as grammatically correct as possible (Hey, she *is* an English major...). Oh, that and if she were to refer to me on the message forum, she's probably use "Robert" instead of "Kaz!" anyway.
And just for the record... I don't do it *just* to annoy her. I also do it because it can be fun, which is why I whistle from time to time when she's not around, too. I find that I can actually control the tone of my whistling pretty well and make it follow most songs (so long as they aren't too fast in tempo).
