I can't say. I can only recall one bully in my
childhood. It was an unusual situation, too,
because the kid in question was my next-door
neighbor. He was a year older than I was, but
he went to the same school and rode the
 same school bus.

We started out on somewhat friendly terms; I
still don't know where his mean streak came
from or why he turned it on me and my other
buddy who was the same age as I. I just
remember he and his older brother throwing
rocks at us at the bus stop, and doing other
 bully-like stuff. I never fought back; I was a
pretty laid-back kid. It did make me mad, but,
like Iss, I imagined that the consequences of
fighting back would be worse than doing
nothing. Besides, he probably would have
beat the snot out of me if I'd ever tried to hit
 him anyway.

Anyway, I can't say what my reaction would be
if I saw him today; I probably wouln't even
recognize the guy. We moved away when I
was ten and I haven't seen him since.

If it means anything, there was a kid in my
class the first year at my new school who
slightly resembled the bully, and I think I was
predisposed to dislike this kid I'd never met
before just because of who he looked like...
