Here in Florida, I was absolutely shocked (and, might I add, thrilled) that I didn't have to know that particular skill. In fact, the Florida driving test is considerably easy. I just drove a little in traffic, made a 3-point turn, drove in reverse, and parked the normal way. It was extremely simple. I have friends who tell me about how they failed the test *3 or 4 times* before getting it. Before I took the test for myself, that scared me. But now, I can't help but laugh. It was one of the easiest things I've ever done! I went in to the place, drove around for five minutes, and came back and got my license. Now I'm out on the road, putting everyone's lives into my own hands. :-)

That's hard to imagine. Takes 3 or 4 times. Wow, and I thought that it was bad when it took someone 2 times just to pass. Figures, New York state has everything hard. New York is the only state who has regents (that I know of), manditory state tests that act as the final exam in high school. And they want the tests harder!!

Actually, I live like 5-6 hours north west of the city. To give you an idea, I'm about 10-15 minutes away from Cornell University (if you have ever heard of them).
