How Quicktime ever runs, I'll never know, but if you're hitting the Blue Screen of Death that often it may well be a hardware error. My computer used to crash regularly until I twigged it was the CD drive that was causing the conflict. Anyway, the first thing I'd do is replace Netscape with IE, Opera or something like that (it could be that Netscape's triggering the error), and then if it still happens, take your machine in for someone to look at. Having read lots of Computer Stupidities recently, I'd advise against use of the tech support lines...

Sigi,

To solve your problem:
Step 1 : On your screen, locate and click the Start button. From the Start menu, click Run. Step 2 : In the Run dialog box, in the Open text box, type: Msconfig. Click OK. Step 3 : In the System Configuration Utility window, Click the Startup tab. Step 4 : Clear the check boxes for all items except for "ScanRegistry" and "SystemTray". Step 5 : In the System Configuration Utility window, click OK. Step 6 : In the System Settings Change dialog box, click Yes to restart the computer.
Run scandisk and then disk defrag.

You should have no more problems with your system.

Sincerely,
Dr. Tony Slayton
