I don't have an answer for you, but I would like
to comment that I've had the same problem.
My DVD player (an Apex) is supposed to be
able to play mp3 files. I have a couple CDs
that I've burned mp3s onto, and when I pop
them into the DVD it can see the files are
there...but it won't play them. Whenver I try to
play an mp3 on my DVD, it basically appears
to be reading the file really fast (the time ticker
goes by at a high rate of speed) but no sound
comes out. I gave up some time ago.
